Scholarship Recipient Testimonials:
Joel Osteen once said, "When you focus on being a blessing, God makes sure that you are always blessed in abundance." A true testament to a situation I found myself in two months prior to graduation, the Paulette C. Walker Endowment Scholarship was God's reassurance and guiding hand in my situation. It is very humbling to receive such acknowledgement in the name of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Incorporated's National President and be the hue from the torch she carries. Truly a Blessing.

I pray that God continues to bless the Scholarship Fund and Committee year after year to impact more lives in the way mine has been impacted because of you.

To God be the glory! There are not enough words I can say that will show my gratitude for the Paulette C. Walker Endowment Scholarship Fund and committee. With nowhere to turn for financial help I had no idea how I would finish my last semester at Michigan State University. After submitting my application for the endowment scholarship I prayed that the committee would see the passion I have for uplifting my community and doing the work of our beloved sorority. My prayers were answered! Thank you again to the committee and donors of this scholarship fund. I am forever grateful and appreciate the committee for selecting me for such a prestigious award.

I am so grateful to be a recipient of the Ingrid Saunders Jones Scholarship for Service. My passion and love for our Sisterhood and the Service we do for the community on a daily basis is what drives me through my studies, and serving our illustrious Sorority as a collegiate. Being a recipient of the Dr. Paulette C. Walker Endowed Scholarship Fund has allowed my mother, who has paid for all of my tuition while attending Michigan State, not to pay anything towards my last year of studies. It is an extreme honor to be awarded a scholarship that is the namesake of our current National President. This is nothing short of a blessing and an honor, and I greatly appreciate the Committee Members for selecting me for such an esteemed award.

It has been a gift from God to have received such an award at this time in my academic journey. Again, thank you to the committee of the scholarship fund for choosing me as a recipient of the distinguished Paulette C. Walker Scholarship Fund.

This school year I wanted to assist my parents who have sacrificed for me to go to school out-of-state and the Paulette C. Walker Endowment Fund and committee answered my prayers! I was thrilled to learn of my selection for this honor and I am deeply appreciative of your support. My name is Jazmyn Bradford and I am a graduating senior studying Social Work with a minor in Human Behavior and Social Services. Through the Epsilon Epsilon Chapter, I serve as the Chapter Liaison and through Delta, I have been captivated with the work that is being done to make sure the success of students remain a priority. As a new member of this remarkable chapter, I was grateful to receive this award as it has helped me gain financial support to complete the last year of my undergraduate program. This award was designed to recognize leaders in the community, and to me, it has served as an uplifting accolade that will encourage me to be the greatest version of myself through the work done in the community and profession. Thank you for this opportunity and I appreciate the work that has been done to make this award a tool to assist students in the overall success!

- I would like to thank the Dr. Paulette C. Walker Endowed Scholarship Fund Committee for awarding me this distinguished award. I am very grateful and honored to have been selected as the leadership recipient. This scholarship will allow me to focus on my education and pursue my dreams of going to medical school.
- Being an active leader in both the Michigan State and Greater Lansing Community has instilled lifelong tools within myself. I have learned that in order to be a great leader you must be a great listener, mediator, have self-awareness, and ask many questions. I am grateful for the different cultures that MSU brings as it has helped me raise awareness and become a better diversity and inclusion leader. I will continue to lead as I further my education and career goals.

I would like to thank the Paulette C Walker Endowment Committee for awarding me this scholarship to help fund my last year of education at Michigan State University. Having this assistance will help my family during this expensive year of application and testing fees for graduate school. It has given me that extra motivation to continue my hard work and keep going. I hope to be one of the few black women to earn my PhD in Physics. I have been actively involved in physics research and community service during my entire time at Michigan State.

I am beyond appreciative for having been granted this amazing scholarship. I would like to thank the entire Dr. Paulette C. Walker Endowed Scholarship Fund Committee for awarding me this scholarship. This scholarship means a lot to me because it will help me to continue my education at Michigan State, attain the necessary materials for classes, and to begin my journey to medical school. As a representative on this campus as a resident assistant, a member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., a neuroscience undergraduate researcher, and a part of the African Student, I will continue to use my voice to help other students within different MSU sub-communities to empower their own voices.
